Bruce Willis BiographyWalter Bruce Willis was born on a military base in Western Germany and grew up in New Jersey, where his father was a factory worker after being discharged from the military in 1957. After graduating from a high school in Jersey, Bruce left for New York to become an actor. He worked as a waiter and a bar tender in the New York restaurants to earn a living until he began to get roles in plays. He was an outgoing youngster who found it easier to express him on stage, performing in front of an audience. Willis made his theatre debut in the Broadway production “Heaven and Earth” and after countless auditions got his big break in the form of ABC’S “Moonlighting” as smart talking David Addison. In 1988, he found his trademark role as detective John McClane in the action thriller Die Hard and let his voice to the famous comedy “Look Who’s Talking” a year later. His next few releases such as “The Bonfire of Vanities”, “Hudson Hawk” and “Striking Distance” bombed at the box-office plunging his career graph downwards. Mercifully his role in the “Last Boy Scout” salvaged his career and gave him back the star power to bounce back in the industry. Few more hits at the box-office followed in the form of “Pulp Fiction”, Nobody’s Fool”, “Die Hard with a Vengeance” and “Armageddon”. In 1999 Willis starred in “Sixth Sense” as child psychiatrist Dr. Malcolm Crowe and it’s considered one his best roles to date. The movie broke several box-office records and Willis won critical acclaim for his chilling role. Willis was last seen in the Summer Disney film, “The Kid” and M.Night Shyamalan’s “Unbreakable”. Personal styleHe has a laid back, I-don't-care style. And the only problem with that is that no matter what we do, we'll never look as good as he does in a white tank top and faded blue jeans. Bruce was virtually born to wear jeans. For those with a good memory, you can recall that in the '80s, his Levi's 501 TV commercials were a huge success, |
