In 1997, he earned $10 million for his role as Batman and became the fourth incarnation of the caped crusader in Joel Schumacher’s Batman and Robin. For the critic-favorite1998 film Out of Sight, he was said to command the same salary .He has also starred in The Peacemaker (1997) with Nicole Kidman, and Terrence Malick’s The Thin Red Line (1998). After departing from the small-screen, Clooney’s film profile features the likes of Three Kings (1999), the Coen Brothers’ Oh Brother Where Art Thou? (2000) and the adaptation of Sebastian Junger’s “A Perfect Storm (2000)”. In the following year , he took the lead in Steven Soderbergh's all-star Ocean's Eleven. Clooney launched his directorial debut in Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, in January 2003. His forthcoming production, Joel Coen's Intolerable Cruelty, opposite Catherine Zeta-Jones will surely add fame to his name.
