Pierce BrosnanPierce Brosnan, better known as 007 or James Bond, was born on May 16th ,1952 in Navan, country Meath, Ireland. Most of his childhood was spent at his grandparents’ place as his father left him and his mother when Pierce was still a child. When Pierce was once visiting with his mother in England, he happened to watch the James Bond film “Golden Eye” and it proved to be the turning point in his life. Pierce dropped out of school at 15 and then tried his luck at various things until he finally decided to join the London Drama Center and studied acting over there for three years.His "big break" came with the 1981 ABC-TV mini-series The Manions of America, which led to his getting the title role in the popular long-running detective series Remington Steele, which debuted in 1982. His role in Steele brought him much recognition and also the offer to do the highly coveted role of James Bond. At that time Pierce had some contractual obligations and as such was forced into rejecting the wonderful chance of becoming the next James Bond. He finally got the chance to do a Bond film in 1994 and since has been so well known for his wonderful execution of the character in the movies. Too High A Fee!
Sources suggest that Sony bosses still want Brosnan to reprise his Bond role, despite stories of the actor's annoyance at being dropped after he demanded too high a fee for starring in CASINO ROYALE. Lets hope that things work out so that we get to see the next Bond movie soon. (April 6, 2005)

presently actor Pierce Brosnan is happily married to Keely Shaye Smith.
Pierce Brosnan said on Monday he would be shooting in India for his forthcoming movie. "It's a project that will be shot in L.A., then London and Bombay," Brosnan said without giving further details. Brosnan, 51, was on a short visit to Bombay, India's financial and entertainment capital, to promote an international watch brand. He also told reporters that Hollywood and Bollywood, India's movie world, were forging new ties. 
Pierce seems to be annoyed with the Sony bosses at having been dropped for the role of James Bond. He has hit out at the makers of James Bond following the uncertainty over his future in the 007 spy film series, accusing they “don’t know what to do.” (March 24, 2004)
