Angelina Jolie BiographyAngelina Jolie made her first debut at the age of 7 alongside her father in the comedy “Looking To Get Out”. Her passion for acting was influenced by both her parents who are actors. At the age of 11 while studying at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute she staged numerous productions. At the age of 16 she ventured into modeling but her love for acting and theatre brought her back to the world of theatre in New York and she started serious film studies by enrolling at famous Met Theatre Group. She bagged her first acting assignment in a supporting role as a human machine hybrid in the 1993 sci-fi thriller “Cyborg II: Glass Shadows”.She got recognition with “Legs” a very powerful and dynamic film. Few more hit films followed like “Love in all there is” (1996) and “Playing God” (1997) alongside David Duchovny. She won a Best Supporting Actress Golden Globe for her animated portrayal of Cornelia Wallace in the 1997 TV movie “George Wallace”. Her electrifying performance as a drug and AIDS-afflicted model Gia Cavangi in the 1998 block buster “Gia” netted her a second Golden Globe statuette and another Emmy nomination. In 1999 she co-starred with Denzel Washington in “The Bone Collector” and with Billy Bob Thornton (her current husband) in the comedy “Pushing Tin”. A challenging role as a seductive sociopath in “Girl Interrupted” was rewarded with a Golden Globe and an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress. She again made headlines by performing her own stunts in Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (2001). Angie was named the “The sexiest woman alive” by the Swedish evening newspaper “Aftonbladet” (2003). TriviaAngelina is planning to give up her acting career to settle in England with her son Maddox and become a full timemother. She is goodwill ambassador for the UNHCR. 31 May 2005 (WENN) Director Doug Liman fears the shocking sex scenes between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie in new movie Mr. & Mrs. Smith are so realistic, fans of Pitt's estranged wife Jennifer Aniston will boycott the film. Pitt and Jolie have repeatedly denied reports they started a passionate affair on the movie's set, causing the heart-throb's high-profile split from Aniston in January.
