Catherine Bell BiographyCatherine was born in London, England, on August 14, 1968. Father was an Architect in London and mother was employed as a Nurse. Catherine bell’s family was small with only three members. Bell and her mother (after getting divorced from her husband) migrated to US when she was three years old. Catherine bell wanted to be an artist and she had appeared in some commercials as a child. But she happened to be at UCLA to study medicine in order to become a surgeon or a biomedical engineer. However, as a part of change in plan she started modeling while in college on part time basis. Catherine began with appearing as guest star on television shows like Dream On in 1994, Dream On in 1994, Hotline in 1996, Hercules: The Legendary Journeys in 1997, and a role in 1998s Sin City Spectacular. It was the role of Lt. Col. Sarah “Mac” MacKenzie on JAG that came as leading breakthrough in her acting career. Though Catherine appeared in a very few episodes of the serial she impressed the creator and executive producer so much that she got the lead role in 1997. Catherine got several film roles also. Isabella Rossellini's body double in 1992's Death Becomes Her; 1994's Men of War; 1996's Crash Dive; 1997's Black Thunder; the made-for-TV-movies Mother of the Bride and Alien Nation: Body and Soul. She also appeared in Hollywood Squares, Cab to Canada and The Time Shifters. Daring CatherineCatherine Bell is a daring lady. She says; "I am a firm believer in doing things that scare you. I love to go bungee jumping, jump out of planes, ride motorbikes, and do kickboxing. I love all that stuff." |
