Charisma CarpenterCharisma Carpenter has had an interest for performing art since her childhood. She started learning performing arts ate age of five. At the age of 15 when her parents moved to Mexico, there she joined in the School of Creative and Performing Arts and did the one-hour commute from Mexico to San Diego. When she finished high school, she decided to tour Europe like many other young adults. She began working odd jobs to support her when she returned to San Diego from her trip. She has to work jobs like a video store clerk, an aerobics instructor and in 1991; she even spent some time working as a cheerleader for the San Diego Chargers. Then she moved to Los Angeles and took up a job as a waitress in Mirabelle Restaurant on Sunset Boulevard. She never dreamed to be an actress in her life. She saved money so she could return to school and can became an English teacher. One day, while performing her job as a waitress, she was discovered by a commercial agent and send to an acting school. Because of this, Charisma decided to attend Playhouse West, a very reputable acting school. There she realizes her passion for acting. Charisma remained there for eighteen months studying the techniques and drama. In the middle while in the school, Charisma began doing a multitude of commercials. And at the age of twenty, she got her first real acting break in Baywatch in 1995. Luckily enough, Charisma's agent sent her out to audition for Buffy, the Vampire Slayer in 1997. She tried for the part of Buffy, which went to Sarah Michelle Gellar.Charisma: The Baywatch BabeIn 1992, Charisma Carpenter jumped right into an acting career by moving to LA where she was cast in over 20 commercials. Charisma Carpenter was also heavily involved in the theatre and performed in many stage productions. Her television debut came on an episode of Baywatch. Charisma later landed the role of Ashley in Malibu Shores, and despite the programs brief run, she got noticed and people said good things about her performance. |

She was discovered by a commercial agent while working in as waitress in Los Angels. Signed by that commercial agent, the beauty was soon booked in quite a few television spots (more than 20 commercials) which in turn led to guest roles on the syndicated series "Baywatch" and the ABC sitcom "Boy Meets World".
