Christina Milian BiographyChristina Milian, a twenty something Cuban product is on its way of replacing the widely exaggerated obssesion with Cuban cigars.This Libran was born to Cuban-native parents in New Jersey and raised in Waldorf, Maryland.She was born tio become an actress. From the very childhood, it appeared as if she simply prospered to become a starlet that she is today.Her acting career got triggered at a very tender age ,with her role as Annie Warbucks in the theatrical musical version of Annie. And even before the young girl could reach her teens, Milian had doled out as a junior journalist on the Disney Channel's Movie Surfers.Soon after this she bagged a number of guest roles on television.In 1998 Christina, the juvenile actress voiced characters in the popular animated feature A Bug's Life. With ensuing roles in American Pie and The Wood, Milian found herself gaining face in front of the camera, and with 2001, she hosted the popular television series Wannabe.This appearance of Christina was almost immediately followed by the release of her self-titled solo debut album.Her teaming up with rapper Ja Rule for the breakthrough hit "Between Me and You" exploded her musical career and her charisma on the big screen gained impetus. With exposure of this kind , recognistion and applauds are bound to come, and similar happened with Christna as well.In next to no time ,she was joining forces with none other than Jennifer Lopez to pen the hit single "Play". All of a sudden, Christina was a huge star at destinations .She was glad to know that her music was enjoyed by those who did'nt even knew english."I'd grown up watching people like Michael and Janet Jackson. People who were universal superstars, so for me, being able to conquer different territories was a very big deal. The whole experience made me more confident and proud that I could reach so many people. Sure it was hard not having an album available back home but in the end it all worked out for the best. I had the chance to tour (she hit 17 countries between 2001-2002) and work on my songwriting. So everything happens for a reason and I know I'm blessed." Now, she could be seen on the big screen in some of the high-profile releases as Love Don't Cost a Thing (2003) and Torque (2004). My mom and I tend to go to thrift stores. We'll get tons of shirts and jeans. We'll cut it all up and dye pieces of the jeans. Then we'll piece it all together to make dope jeans and skirts and stuff.I don't like wearing the same thing everybody else wears" |
