Drew BarrymoreWith a dazzling smile and a charming personality, Drew Barrymore is one actress who can set any man’s heart aflutter. Her first acquaintance with the world of acting was at the tender age of 11 months when her mother began taking her to TV auditions. Although she comes from a “showbiz” family, nothing was handed to this actress. She has managed to carve a niche for herself in the world of films through her own personal strength, charisma and acting prowess. She has been through the thick-and-thin of it all; starting work at a very young age, drug abuse, broken relationships, professional hurdles and what not and, yet she has managed to pull herself out of it all. She has proven herself to be a force to be dealt with.In 1998, Drew set up her own production company Flower Films and produced the block-busters Never Been Kissed (1999), Charlie’s Angels(2000) and its sequel Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle (2003). The latter two netted her a Blockbuster Entertainment Award and Kids' Choice Award. On July 3, 2004 Drew Barrymore received a star on Hollywood Boulevard’s Walk of Fame. A Friend Of The UN!Drew is the first person to be named ‘A Friend of the UN by a new organization called ‘Artists for the UN,’ a partnership between the United Nations and Global Vision for Peace which hopes to encourage artists to support the ideals, vision and mandate of the United Nations in seeking global solutions to world problems.
