Estella WarrenA Canadian national champion in synchronized swimming, with titles in 1994-96, Estella left a promising career in the sport and instead, opted for modeling. Her big break came in 1996, when her high school fashion show pictures were sent to a New York agent. She was almost immediately signed for a modeling contract, and eventually appeared in "Sports Illustrated", "Vogue", "Vanity Fair" and two TV commercials for Chanel #5 perfume, both directed by Luc Besson. She decided to move to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career, and has appeared in films with such stars as Sylvester Stallone. Estella says she likes modeling because she gets to meet a lot of different people with different backgrounds. Estella also likes the traveling that goes with modeling internationally.Estella's first photo shootEstella’s first shoot was a somewhat casual one. Highly acclaimed fashion photographer Ellen von Unwerth snapped some polaroids of her while they riding in a limo. The pictures came out fun and sexy, and from there von Unwerth took shots of her for Italian Vogue. A supermodel was born. |
