Kirsten Dunst Biography
Kirsten was born as Kirsten Caroline Dunst on the 30th of April, 1982, at Point Pleasant, New Jersey. Her father, Klaus, was in the field of medicine. Her mother, Inez, was an artist and used to own a gallery. The young child began to pose as a model for her mother's gallery when she was all of four years. An year later, she was the model for Elite and the Ford Agency.She did other modeling assignments as well. She was studying at Ranney School at Tinton Falls, New Jersey. She graduated from Notre Dame High School in Los Angeles.
Kirsten made her debut on the silver screen in Woody Allen's film "New York Stories" but her real break came with "Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles" where she shared the screen with Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise. For her mindblowing acting, she got Golden Globe nomination, the MTV Award for Best Performance. She also got Saturn award for Best Young Actress. In 1995, she was honoured as People Magazine's 50 Most Beautiful People in the world.
Kirsten recently grabbed headlines for her performance as the teenage girl Lux Lisbon in Sofia Coppola's directorial debut, "The Virgin Suicides", about the sexually curious and rebellious daughter of overprotective parents.
Dunst did the voice for the animated film "Anastasia", and has also landed a role in "Little Women", with Winona Ryder, and the comedy "Greedy", with Kirk Douglas. Kirsten stays with her brother Christian in Burbank, California. As a companion, she also has her two cats, and the family dog Beauty.

When asked about the reason for her choosing to do Spiderman, she said "I really wanted the role because I knew it would give my career a boost, especially in foreign markets where I don't feel I'm that well known". A most intelligent choice, is that not?
