What attracted public eye and also "house full" is 17 kisses given by her in the movie. Then came Mahesh Bhatt's Murder which was a thriller,directed by Anurag Basu. The movie has put Mallika in an avant-garde act. The story line of the movie is based on the life of a married woman whose life is hell. As Mallika Sherawat was lonely, so she had an affair. This film has glimpses of celebration, of blossoming, passion & love and of insecurity. Mallika Sherawat has begun on one more film with Govind Menon, named "Kis Kiski Kismat".The film is a comedy caper starring Dharmendra as Mallika's father. Mallika Sherawat's resolution to make entry in films is still difficult to believe for her father. He has not excused her for that. But she has the support of her brother, from the very beginning. She considers his support her only strength.Despite the fact that she is a part of the so called "bejeweled prisoners" of a haryana haveli but is daring enough to opt for the bollywood world. Before entering into the world of acting she was known as 'Reema Lambha'. She had to change her name because of a number of Reema's in industry. She added Sherawat as her second name because it's her mother's last name and Mallika sound like queen so she changed her name to Mallika Sherawat. Bollywood sex bomb Mallika Sherawat says that she would represent a 'desi' exotica in all the projects that are offered to her in the West. ''The West is an open society. I will be a 'desi' exotica in any project that is offered to me'', says Mallika.
