Nicolette SheridanNicolette Sheridan was born in Worthington, England on November 21, 1963. Both her mother and grandmother was actress. She has a half-brother, Nick Savalas, son of actor Telly Savalas. In her early days she grew up in a carefree show-biz home. Her first boyfriend was singer Lief Garret. As a young teenager, she dated with him for six years and even moved with him. Paper Dolls was her first professional role on television in 1986. And in the same year she appeared in movie The Sure Thing. But her big break came in 1987, when she landed the role as sexy Paige Matheson for seven years on the hit television series Knots Landing. She was married to actor Harry Hamlin on September 7, 1991 but they were divorced by 1993. Before that, in 1990 she was voted one of the 50 most beautiful people in the world by People magazine. The mid-1990's to early 2000's was a growth period for her. She made many successful films like Beverly Hills Ninja, I Woke up Early the Day I Died in this period. Her career has taken turn toward better direction in 2004 with her role as Edie Britt in the hit TV series Desperate Housewives.She Drops British AccentDesperate Housewives star Nicolette Sheridan consciously dropped her British accent when she moved to America as a child to avoid being bullied. The 41-year-old, who was shocked by the taunts she endured after starting school in the US, has a different problem now - she's teased by her British friends about her American accent during visits to the UK. Nicolette Sheridan is an English actress who is probably best known for her role as "Paige Matheson" on the primetime soap opera Knots Landing, from 1986 to 1993. In 1990 she won the Soap Opera Digest Award for "Outstanding Lead Actress: Prime Time" for that role; the following year she won in the "Outstanding Heroine: Prime Time" category. At the time she was credited as Nicollette Sheridan.
