Nikki Cox Biography
Nikki Cox was born on 2nd June, 1978, in Los Angeles, California. Her real name is Nicole Avery Cox. She started her dance session in her childhood and made entry into the world of showbiz. Nikki wanted to pursue a career in dance, and was discovered by an agent while taking dance classes. The agent asked the young talent if she wanted to dance professionally, despite the initial distrust of her parents. Nikki puts her performance in The Jeffrey Ballet and a Los Angeles Music Center Ballet Tour, and danced her way into Michael Jackson's Moonwalker. Not only this she also danced in Paula Abdul's "Forever Your Girl", the MTV Awards, and The Arsenio Hall Show. In 1988 she stepped in front of the camera again, but this time it was big screen debut in the extra-terrestrial comedy, "MAC and Me". The young actress also made her presence onto the small screen, with the guest roles in "Mama's Family", "Star Trek: The Next Generation", "Night Court", "Murphy Brown", "Baywatch", "Eerie, Indiana", "California Dreams", and "Blossom". Nikki's performance was not only restricted to small screen but she also made her appearance on the silver screen action in 1992 "Terminator 2: Judgment Day". After landing roles in Made-for-TV movies such as "The Ryan White Story", "Danger Island", "Bloodlines: Murder in the Family", and "Someone like me", primetime television would see the appearance of its newest sexy, self-centered teen -- portrayed by Nikki. Her big break came about in 1995, when she was cast as Tiffany Malloy in the "Married with Children", "Unhappily Ever After". She was well appreciated and noticed by the viewer in the soap opera and got the taste of Nikki as the long lost sister of Jagger Cates on "General Hospital”. She has recently joined the group of WB babes, such as Katherine Heigl, Katie Holmes, Keri Russell, and Sarah Michelle Gellar, Nikki was cast in her own television show on the coveted network. She also stars as a Vegas showgirl, and that really gave her lots of opportunity and fame. She did pretty well on dancing, singing, as well as acting career.
Nikki Cox to Star on Passions
Nikki Cox will play her "Las Vegas" character, Mary Connell, on "Passions" on Friday, May 20 and Monday, May 23. Nikki will be appearing in scenes with the newest "Passions" cast members, Dylan Fergus (Ned) and Emily Harper (Fancy). Mark your calendars!
