Oprah WinfreyShe was born to her unmarried parents in 1954. The destitute girl was nourished by her grandmother on a farm with no indoor plumbing in Kosciusko, Mississippi. She was reading bible at the age of three and also cited those in church. She had to move to her mother’s home at the age of six in Milwaukee, Wisconsin; later, to her father's in Nashville, Tennessee. The child has a passion for books in her childhood, she found solace in books. Her passion for reading and book got a backup when her seventh-grade teacher got her a scholarship to a batter school. This was happened when this teacher noticed the girl reading books in the launch time. Oprah Winfrey’s talent for public performance and spontaneity in answering questions helped her win beauty contests and get her first taste of public attention. Winfrey resides with her partner, Stedman Graham, in a condominium on Chicago's Gold Coast. She also owns a house in Tennessee and a Wisconsin condo. In 2001 she purchased a 42-acre seaside estate on the Santa Barbara coast for $50 million. Oprah has achieved a lot in her life; she was born in impoverished circumstance but is now a billionaire. Today she owns her own production company and studio's Harpo, she operates the Oprah Winfrey Foundation, she is a publisher as well as an Oscar nominated actress for her role in 'The Colour Purple'. It is easy to see why Time magazine has voted her one of the most 100 most influential people in the world and why she is the recipient of a lifetime Emmy Award.
